A very interesting game took place in Trier. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Telekom Baskets (8-8) to seventeenth ranked TBB Trier (5-11) 71-70 on Monday evening. The hosts were ahead by 4 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 24-20 run, which allowed them to win the game. TBB Trier's next round opponent will be higher ranked EWE Baskets (#5) in Oldenburg and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
