Regular Season Round 17: Bakken - Naestved 86-59
Date: January 5, 2012
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Aarhus. Second ranked Bakken faced 3rd placed Naestved. Host Bakken (15-1) smashed guests from Naestved (10-7) 86-59. The game was mostly controlled by Bakken. Naestved was better in second period 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Joshua Alexander (193-87, college: SF Austin) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 9 rebounds. The former international power forward Nicolai Iversen (205-80, college: San Jose City JC) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Corin Henry (180-88, college: Tarleton St.) answered with 24 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin, agency: I.D.S. Law) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Naestved. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bakken have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 15-1 record behind leader Svendborg. Naestved at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Bakken will play against Aabyhoj (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Naestved will play against the league's leader Svendborg (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
