The game with biggest difference of round 12 in LPB was guest Sampaense's (5-7) road victory over higher ranked Lusitania (7-4) 79-69 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Lusitania. Lusitania was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was naturalized Sao Tome and Principe power forward Ekjersey Viana (203-77) who scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Brian Addison (205-87, college: Buffalo) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Addison is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Sampaense players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Brian Mills (203-88, college: Mercer, agency: Pro One Sports) who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds and American-Estonian forward Renato Lindmets (198-84, college: Westfield St.) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Sampaense have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Lusitania at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Sampaense are looking forward to face Terceira Basket (#10) in Angra Heroismo in the next round. Lusitania will play at home against Ginasio (#12) in Figueira da Foz and is hoping to win this game.
