A very interesting game took place in Angra Heroismo. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Sampaense (5-8) to tenth ranked Terceira Basket (4-8) 74-71 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sampaense. The hosts were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 20-16 run, which allowed them to win the game. Terceira Basket forced 19 Sampaense turnovers. American forward Durrell Nevels (198-86, college: Cent.Arkansas) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. His fellow American import guard Nate Bowie (183-86, college: Cent.Arkansas) chipped in 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Brian Addison (205-87, college: Buffalo) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Joao Reveles (187-80) added 9 points and 14 assists respectively for lost side. Terceira Basket moved-up to ninth place. Sampaense at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Terceira Basket's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ovarense (#3) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
