Regular Season Round 21: BC Kyiv - Kryvbasbasket 74-81

We should mention about the upset which took place in Kyiv, where 9th ranked BC Kyiv (10-12) lost at home to twelfth ranked Kryvbasbasket (7-15) 74-81. It looked good early as BC Kyiv took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kryvbasbasket had a 22-11 second period charge getting the lead and BC Kyiv was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-81. Kryvbasbasket made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by BC Kyiv helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M, agency: N.E.T.) nailed 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Serbian power forward Dalibor Djapa (204-84, agency: Alti Sport) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Kryvbasbasket players scored in double figures. American guard Gary Ervin (182-83, college: Arkansas) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Vladyslav Podolyan (196-86, agency: New Trend Agency) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for BC Kyiv in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kryvbasbasket moved-up to eleventh place. BC Kyiv at the other side keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Kryvbasbasket's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Halychyna (#14) in Lviv.
