Regular Season Round 15: Tofas - Fener.Ulker 89-87

The most exciting game of round 15 in the TBL took place in Bursa. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Fenerbahce Ulker (10-5) to seventh ranked Tofas (10-5) 89-87 in the game for the fifth place. Fenerbahce Ulker was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a great shooting night for Tofas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 66.7 percentage. 26 personal fouls committed by Fenerbahce Ulker helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Croatian power forward Tomislav Ruzic (208-79) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points. American forward Bradley Buckman (203-84, college: Texas) helped adding 11 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward James Gist (205-86) with 16 points and Bosnian-Croatian swingman Bojan Bogdanovic (203-89) scored 14 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Tofas have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Karsiyaka and Fener.Ulker. Tofas is looking forward to face Mersin (#13) in Akdeniz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fenerbahce Ulker will play on the road against Trabzonspor (#15) and is hoping to win this game.
