Regular Season Round 19: Final Genclik - Usak 87-76

There was no surprise in Bursa where 18th ranked Usak (5-13) was defeated by fifth ranked Final Genclik (13-5) 87-76 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-76. Final Genclik outrebounded Usak 43-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. Usak was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Orcun Okkali (201-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. point guard Erdem Ilter (-90) helped adding 17 points and 7 assists. At the losing side Panamanian guard Ruben Douglas (193-79, college: N.Mexico) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and center Engin Algin (202-75) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Final Genclik have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Optimum TED and Maliye Milli. Loser Usak keeps the eighteenth position with 13 games lost. Final Genclik will face Maliye Milli (#4) in the next round. Usak will play against Orman Genc (#19) in Ankara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
