There was a minor upset in Vilnius where higher ranked Zalgiris-Sabonio (14-11) was defeated by ninth ranked Statyba (14-11) 83-76. Zalgiris-Sabonio was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 51-37 second half run of Statyba. They shot 60.3 percent from the field. Forward Darius Tarvydas (200-91) nailed 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and forward Remigijus Sugintas (200-87) accounted for 19 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Forward Marius Grigonis (194-94) came up with 16 points and 4 assists and forward Tauras Jogela (201-93) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Zalgiris-Sabonio in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Statyba moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Matinga-Juod. and Zalgiris-Sabonio. Statyba's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Radviliskis on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
