Levski (#5) forced the game against Beroe 07 (#3) into an overtime, but lost by five points 84-89 on Saturday night. The hosts were tied at the half and again at the end of regular time. But they managed to win overtime period 16-11. Center Zlatina Kaloferova (192-86) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Ralitsa Naneva (178-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Five Beroe 07 players scored in double figures. American guard Juanita Ward (180-86, college: Syracuse, agency: Merit Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and the former international forward Agnesa Doychinova (188-73) added 9 points and 15 rebounds respectively for lost side. Beroe 07 maintains third position with 8-5 record having just two points less than leader Dunav 8806. Levski lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost. Beroe 07 will face league's leader Dunav 8806 in Ruse in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Levski's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sofia Slavia.
