Very expected game in Carcavelos where 10th ranked Barcelos (3-10) were rolled over by sixth ranked Lombos Quinta (7-6) 72-36. The game without a history. Lombos Quinta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Barcelos to just 3 points in first quarter and to 12 points in first half. Lombos Quinta held Barcelos to an opponent 22.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Barcelos 38-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a very good performance for American guard Shaqwedia Wallace (175, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lombos Quinta maintains sixth place with 7-6 record. Barcelos at the other side keep the tenth position with ten games lost. Lombos Quinta will play against EMA Menres (#11) in Algueirao in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Barcelos will play at home against Olivais in Coimbra and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
