Regular Season Round 10: Alges - Electrico FC 81-60

Proliga top team - Alges (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Electrico FC (4-6) 81-60. The game was mostly controlled by Alges. Electrico FC managed to win fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Alges forced 24 Electrico FC turnovers. American forward DeSean White (203-86, college: Northwood Fl.) notched 24 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) to lead the effort and naturalized GNBn forward Danilson Vieira (192-85) supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Alges players scored in double figures. Alges' coach Mario Silva felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 10 points and 6 rebounds by guard Tiago Pinto (183-88) did not help to save the game for Electrico FC. Naturalized Cape Verdean swingman Mario Neves (190-77) added 6 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Alges have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Loser Electrico FC dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. They share the position with Oliveirense. Alges will meet bottom-ranked Povoa (#12) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Electrico FC will play against Oliveirense (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
