Everything went according to plan when first ranked Lietuvos rytas (12-2) outleveled on the road 5th ranked Baltai Kaunas (8-7) 93-54 on Saturday. The game without a history. Lietuvos rytas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Baltai Kaunas' 34. They outrebounded Baltai Kaunas 47-18 including a 31-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. International center Jonas Valanciunas (210-92) fired 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international forward Mindaugas Katelynas (205-83, college: Chattanooga) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Lietuvos rytas players scored in double figures.
