NKL round 26 caused change at the leadership position. Ninth defeat of league's leader Nafta Universitetas (17-9) against fifth ranked LKKA-Atletas (16-10) 102-55 was the most important game of the last round. The game without a history. LKKA-Atletas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Nafta Universitetas to just 7 points in third quarter. LKKA-Atletas shot 61.5 percent from the field. LKKA-Atletas had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. LKKA-Atletas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Nafta Universitetas' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when LKKA-Atletas made 8 blocks. LKKA-Atletas moved-up to third place, which they share with Delikatesas. Nafta Universitetas at the other side still keeps top position with nine games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Radviliskis who have the same record. Nafta Universitetas will play next round against Mazeikiai trying to make it back to the top of the standings.
