Regular Season Round 10: Sangalhos - Angra 69-73

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Angrabasket (6-4) beat on the road one of their biggest challengers Sangalhos (6-4) 73-69 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sangalhos won third quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cape Verdean swingman Flavio Gomes (194-89) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and American power forward Terrence Mack (198-84, college: Rhode Island) supported him with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Even 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by swingman Emanuel Silva (188-79) did not help to save the game for Sangalhos. Miguel Carmo added 22 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Angrabasket have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Sangalhos. Angrabasket will meet at home Guifoes (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Sangalhos will play against Fisica (#6) in Torres Vedras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
