The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Alges as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Alges smashed 12th ranked CDTorres N. at home 81-31. The game without a history. Alges led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding CDTorres N. to just 6 points in first and third quarters. Alges held CDTorres N. to an opponent 21.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Alges forced 27 CDTorres N. turnovers and outrebounded them 59-27 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. CDTorres N. at the other side stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. CDTorres N. will play next round against Montijobanda trying to get back on the winning streak. Alges will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Boa Viagem in Angra Heroismo.
