We should mention about the upset which took place in Wuerzburg, where higher ranked s Oliver Baskets (10-8) lost at home to twelfth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (8-10) 51-56 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of s Oliver Baskets. s Oliver Baskets were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Deutsche Bank Skyliners forced 20 s Oliver Baskets turnovers. s Oliver Baskets were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Quantez Robertson (190-84, college: Auburn) who scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Devin Gibson (182, college: UTSA) chipped in 11 points. Robertson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Ben Jacobson (188-83, college: N.Iowa) who recorded 15 points and power forward Ivan Elliott (203-86, college: UCSB, agency: Limelight Hoops) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively. s Oliver Baskets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Deutsche Bank Skyliners have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Bayreuth. Newly promoted s Oliver Baskets keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will face LTi 46ers (#15) in Giessen in the next round.
