We should mention about the upset which took place in Allmendingen, where higher ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (8-9) lost at home to thirteenth ranked ETB Wohnbau (7-10) 70-79 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ehingen/Urspringschule. The game without a history. ETB Wohnbau led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. ETB Wohnbau outrebounded Ehingen/Urspringschule 35-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American point guard Chris Alexander (186-83, college: Southern) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import forward Joseph Henley (196-85, college: Sacred Heart) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized American guard Akeem Vargas (191-90, college: Iowa Lakes CC) who recorded 13 points and 4 assists and American forward Andre Calvin (196-85, college: Drake, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) added 17 points respectively. Four Ehingen/Urspringschule players scored in double figures. ETB Wohnbau moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Karlsruhe and Cuxhaven. Newly promoted Ehingen/Urspringschule keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. ETB Wohnbau will have a break next round.
