Regular Season Round 14: Crvena Zvezda - Beocin 99-60

A League top team - Crvena Zvezda (13-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Beocin (4-10) in Beograd 99-60. The game without a history. Crvena Zvezda led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Beocin to just 7 points in third quarter. Crvena Zvezda dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Beocin's 40 and made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Crvena Zvezda forced 29 Beocin turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Beocin's players. Bosnian forward Ana Niksic (181-91) notched 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and point guard Aleksandra Stanacev (167-94) supported her with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 14 points and 7 rebounds by Jovana Cica did not help to save the game for Beocin. Maja Golubovic added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Crvena Zvezda have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. Newly promoted Beocin keeps the tenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Proleter. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
