Regular Season Round 22: Mykolaiv - Azovmash 75-81

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Azovmash (15-8) beat on the road 10th ranked Mykolaiv (9-14) 81-75 on Wednesday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a very good performance for American guard Daniel Ewing (191-83, college: Duke, agency: Alti Sport) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international guard Artur Drozdov (199-80) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Azovmash's coach Gintaras Krapikas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman Rodney Green (195-88, college: La Salle) replied with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Akida McLain (206-86, college: Indiana, PA) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Mykolaiv. Five Azovmash and four Mykolaiv players scored in double figures. Azovmash moved-up to third place. Loser Mykolaiv keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. Azovmash will face Cherkasy (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mykolaiv will play against BC Kyiv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
