Regular Season Round 19: Falcon - Svendborg 82-95

Very expected game when 10th ranked Falcon (5-14) was defeated at home by second ranked Svendborg (17-2) 95-82 on Thursday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Svendborg forced 19 Falcon turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international guard Adama Darboe (190-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). The former international guard Chanan Colman (191-84, college: Chipola) helped adding 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side Mexican Robert Fields responded with 20 points and 7 assists and the former international guard Julian McFarlane (184-86) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Svendborg maintains second place with 17-2 record having just -1 point less than leader Bakken. Newly promoted Falcon stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Svendborg will face Aabyhoj (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Falcon will play against Horsens IC in Horsens and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
