Regular Season Round 19: Fraport SKY - LTi 46ers 65-78

An interesting game took place in Frankfurt where 12th ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (8-11) were upseton its own court by fifteenth ranked LTi 46ers (7-12) 78-65 on Friday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Deutsche Bank Skyliners. The game was mostly controlled by LTi 46ers. Deutsche Bank Skyliners was better in second period 20-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for LTi 46ers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. It was a great evening for American guard Barry Stewart (191-88, college: Mississippi St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds. Bosnian power forward Elvir Ovcina (210-76, college: Syracuse, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Four LTi 46ers players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Devin Gibson (182, college: UTSA) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Jimmy McKinney (192-83, college: Missouri, agency: Strategic Sports) scored 16 points and 4 assists. LTi 46ers moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Walter Tigers and Phoenix Hagen. Loser Deutsche Bank Skyliners dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. LTi 46ers will face league's second-placed ratiopharm Ulm at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
