Pamukkale (9-10) survived in overtime against Darussafaka (9-10) by three points 80-77 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 28-19 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 3-point victory in overtime. Pamukkale outrebounded Darussafaka 45-30 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Will Caudle (206-82, college: Xavier) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds and center Ismail Esmeray (-86) who added 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. Guard Goekhan Sunter (196-80, agency: 1x1 Sports) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and guard Can Korkmaz (187-92, agency: Beo Basket) scored 15 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Pamukkale moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Darussafaka and Istanbul B.B. Darussafaka lost fifth consecutive game. Pamukkale will meet Pertevniyal (#15) in the next round where they are favorite. Darussafaka will play against the league's second-placed Selcuk Universitesi (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
