There was no surprise in Vilnius where 15th ranked ABRO-Universitetas (7-21) was defeated by eleventh ranked Perlas-MRU (14-14) 76-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. Perlas-MRU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Perlas-MRU forced 24 ABRO-Universitetas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Gintautas Vileita (193-75, college: Monmouth) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 7 assists and 6 steals and forward Tadas Padegimas (201-90) who added 15 points during the contest. Four Perlas-MRU players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Agnius Gurklys (205-88) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Nerijus Mika (191-89) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Perlas-MRU moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Ezerunas-Karys. ABRO-Universitetas lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 21 games lost. Perlas-MRU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. ABRO-Universitetas will play against the league's second-placed LKKA-Atletas (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
