The game between second ranked Noerdlingen (12-5) and sixth ranked Hanau (10-7) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Noerdlingen was defeated by Hanau in Noerdlingen 101-84. The game without a history. Hanau led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 63.8 percent from the field. Hanau had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. Indian-American guard Anish Sharda (191-82, college: St.Mary's, KS) fired 24 points and 6 assists (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) for the winners. American power forward Chris Miles (211-86, college: BYU, agency: The Black Agency, LLC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American forward Kedrick Johnson (192-83, college: Lee) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Jason Jamerson (188-86, college: Grand Valley St.) added 16 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Four Hanau and five Noerdlingen players scored in double figures. Hanau have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place in Group South, which they share with BSW Sixers. Noerdlingen at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Leipzig. Hanau is looking forward to face league's leader Oettinger Rockets Gotha at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Noerdlingen will play against Giessen Pointers and is hoping to win this game.
