Sixteenth-ranked Gelisim (6-13) made lots of trouble for ninth ranked Vestel (10-9) in Manisa on Saturday. Vestel managed to secure only two-point victory 78-76. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Gelisim won third quarter 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gelisim was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Hadi Ozdemir (203-83) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Hakan Erol (200-83) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Ozgun Onver (195-82) produced 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Sertay Gursu (195-87, agency: EM-PA) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Five Vestel and four Gelisim players scored in double figures. Gelisim's coach Deniz Atak tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Vestel moved-up to eighth place. Gelisim lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 13 games lost. Vestel will face Tire Gucu (#13) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Gelisim will play against TED Istanbul.
