Regular Season Round 16: Sencur CP - Postojna 74-71

The most exciting game of round 16 in the D2 took place in Kranj. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Postojna (10-5) to fifth ranked Sencur CP (11-4) 74-71 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Postojna. Postojna cut a 13-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Postojna helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of center Jure Erzen (203-75) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Roman Horvat (200-71) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Sencur CP's coach Gregor Jeras used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Savo Milovic (192-86) replied with 13 points and guard Tilen Zalar (193-87) added 13 points in the effort for Postojna. Five Postojna players scored in double figures. Sencur CP have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Postojna at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Splosna plovba and Branik. Sencur CP are looking forward to face Radenska (#7) in Murska Sobota in the next round. Postojna will play on the road against Hrastnik and is hoping to win this game.
