Very predictable result when second ranked LKKA-Atletas (19-10) won against 15th ranked ABRO-Universitetas (7-22) in Siauliai 88-74 on Friday. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 14 points. LKKA-Atletas shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Guard Sarunas Vingelis (192-89) nailed 29 points for the winning side and point guard Matas Sapiega (179-90) accounted for 15 points and 8 assists. Guard Aridas Kurauskas (184-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists and center Agnius Gurklys (205-88) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for ABRO-Universitetas in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for LKKA-Atletas. They maintain second place with 19-10 record behind leader Radviliskis, which they share with Nafta Universitetas. ABRO-Universitetas lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 22 games lost. LKKA-Atletas will meet at home Ezerunas-Karys (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
