Regular Season Round 15: Mladost Zemun - Napredak A. 76-82

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Mladost Zemun (10-4) against eighth ranked Napredak A. (7-8) on Saturday night. Host Mladost Zemun was defeated by Napredak A. in a tough game at home 76-82. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Mladost Zemun. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-18. But Mladost Zemun won second period 16-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Napredak A. won last quarter 27-22. It was an exceptional evening for Dragoljub Sikman who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Aleksandar Miladinovic accounted for 19 points for the winning side. Four Napredak A. players scored in double figures. Forward Nenad Banjanin (201-85, college: E.Michigan) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Nino Celebic (187-90) added 17 points respectively for Mladost Zemun in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Napredak A. moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Viva Basket and Crnokosa. Mladost Zemun at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the second position with four games lost. Napredak A. will meet at home Crnokosa (#7) in the next round. Mladost Zemun will play against Beovuk 72 (#10) in Beograd and hope to secure a win.
