Regular Season Round 16: Grosuplje - Branik 93-78

An interesting game for Grosuplje (13-2) which hosted in Grosuplje 4th ranked Branik (10-5). First ranked Grosuplje had an easy win 93-78. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Branik. The game was mostly controlled by Grosuplje. Branik was better in fourth quarter 28-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grosuplje shot 64.2 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 63.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Blaz Lobe (202-84) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) and guard Jure Misic (188-87) who added 15 points during the contest. At the losing side forward Aljosa Remus (200-86) responded with 18 points and power forward Marko Vranjkovic (204-90) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Branik players scored in double figures. Grosuplje have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-2 record. Branik at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Postojna and Splosna plovba. Grosuplje will play against Jance Prit (#12) in Ljubljana in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Branik will play at home against the league's second-placed Triglav Strazisce (#2) in Kranj and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
