There was no surprise when 14th ranked Antalya (3-13) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Turk Telekom (8-8) 94-88 on Saturday. Turk Telekom outrebounded Antalya 41-29 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Antalya was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Ali Karadeniz (203-80, college: Arizona) fired 23 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. FYR Macedonian-American guard Darius Washington (188-85, college: Memphis) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Scottie Reynolds (188-87, college: Villanova) produced 21 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard Corey Fisher (185-88, college: Villanova) added 21 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five Antalya players scored in double figures. Antalya's coach Dragan Sakota rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Turk Telekom moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Erdemir and Aliaga. Loser Antalya keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Turk Telekom will face bottom-ranked Bandirma Kir. (#16) in Balikesir in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Antalya will play on the road against Fenerbahce Ulker in Istanbul.
