Regular Season Round 24: Hoverla - Mykolaiv 66-65

Tenth-ranked Mykolaiv (9-16) made lots of trouble for seventh ranked Hoverla (15-11) in Frankivsk. Hoverla managed to secure only one-point victory 66-65. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Mykolaiv won fourth quarter 15-6. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hoverla forced 19 Mykolaiv turnovers. The game was dominated by American players. The winners were led by swingman Brian Greene (195-83, college: Florida A&M) who scored that evening 14 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Dante Swanson (178-81, college: Tulsa, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) supported him with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by point guard Deonta Vaughn (185-86, college: Cincinnati, agency: New Trend Agency) did not help to save the game for Mykolaiv. Swingman Rodney Green (195-88, college: La Salle) added 10 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Hoverla maintains seventh position with 15-11 record. Mykolaiv lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 16 games lost. Hoverla will have a break next round. Mykolaiv will play on the road against Halychyna (#14) in Lviv.
