An interesting game for Optimum TED (15-5) which hosted in Ankara 4th placed Final Genclik (14-6). Third ranked Optimum TED had an easy win 104-68. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Final Genclik. The game without a history. Optimum TED led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Final Genclik's 24. Optimum TED forced 28 Final Genclik turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Optimum TED especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Nigerian-Canadian swingman Olumuyiwa Famutimi (198-84, college: Arkansas) nailed 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Ali Kavaklioglu (186-86) accounted for 18 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. point guard Esat Sinanoglu (188-82) came up with 13 points and 6 assists and guard Onur Aksoy (192-84) added 12 points respectively for Final Genclik in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Optimum TED. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Genc Telekom. Loser Final Genclik keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Optimum TED's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Ankara to the arena Orman Genc.
