Important game to mention about took place in Bonn. Fourth ranked ALBA Berlin (12-6) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 10th ranked Telekom Baskets (9-10) 92-91 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It looked good early as Telekom Baskets took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then ALBA Berlin took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 1 point. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for guard DaShaun Wood (185-85, college: Wright St.) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Guard Kyle Weaver (198-86, college: Washington St., agency: Interperformances) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. point guard Jared Jordan (188-84, college: Marist) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 assists and center Chris Ensminger (209-73, college: Valparaiso, agency: Limelight Hoops) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Telekom Baskets in the defeat. Four ALBA Berlin and five Telekom Baskets players scored in double figures. ALBA Berlin maintains fourth place with 12-6 record. Telekom Baskets at the other side keep the tenth position with ten games lost. ALBA Berlin will play against TBB Trier (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Telekom Baskets will play against the league's leader Brose Baskets (#1) in Bamberg and hope to get back on the winning track.
