Very important is a road loss of third ranked Rilski Sportist (10-6) against fourth ranked Tundja Yambol (9-7) on Sunday night. Visiting Rilski Sportist was defeated by Tundja Yambol in a tough game in Yambol 66-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Rilski Sportist. The game without a history. Tundja Yambol led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American center John Ofoegbu (206-84, college: Idaho St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Stanislav Govedarov (185-80) contributed with 25 points and 5 assists for the winners. The former international guard Asen Velikov (188-86) replied with 8 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Serbian power forward Filip Vukosavljevic (205-83) added 18 points in the effort for Rilski Sportist. Tundja Yambol maintains fourth position with 9-7 record. Rilski Sportist at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Tundja Yambol will play against Euroins Cherno More (#5) in Varna in the next round. Rilski Sportist will play at home against the league's leader Lukoil Academik in Sofia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
