Eleventh-ranked Lietkabelis (3-12) used its home court advantage to challenge fourth ranked Siauliai (10-6) in Panevezys on Thursday. The visitors from Siauliai managed to secure only two-point victory 87-85. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 30-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great shooting night for Siauliai especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international forward Mindaugas Zukauskas (201-75, agency: World Sport Agency) notched 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Cam Long (193-88, college: George Mason, agency: KMG Sports Management) supported him with 18 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four Siauliai players scored in double figures. Even 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by center Vaidas Cepukaitis (207-89, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Lietkabelis. Center Adomas Drungilas (203-90) added 4 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists for the hosts. Lietkabelis' coach Gintaras Leonavicius tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Siauliai maintains fourth position with 10-6 record. Loser Lietkabelis keeps the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
