We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked Horsens IC (8-15) was edged on the road by seventh ranked Aabyhoj (8-15) 92-89 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 28-23 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Aabyhoj made 32-of-40 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while Horsens IC only scored nine points from the stripe. They outrebounded Horsens IC 35-17 including a 27-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Horsens IC was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward D'Mario Curry (201-85, college: Lincoln Memorial) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). Despite that victory Aabyhoj went down to eighth position due to points difference, which they share with defeated Horsens IC. Aabyhoj will face higher ranked SISU (#4) in Copenhagen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
