Very important is a road loss of second ranked Radviliskis (21-11) against sixth ranked Matinga-Juod. (18-14) on Saturday night. Visiting Radviliskis was defeated by Matinga-Juod. in a tough game in Marijampole 67-71. Radviliskis was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 23-15 charge of Matinga-Juod., which allowed them to win the game. Forward Marijus Uzupis (197-93) notched 13 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and center Mindaugas Kalvelis (205-80) supported him with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Matinga-Juod.'s coach Mindaugas Sagaitis allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by guard Tomas Rakauskas (183-81) did not help to save the game for Radviliskis. Forward Audrius Mineikis (201-77) added 8 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Newly promoted Matinga-Juod. maintains sixth position in with 18-14 record. Loser Radviliskis keeps the second place with 11 games lost. Matinga-Juod. will meet at home higher ranked Zalgiris-Sabonio (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Radviliskis will play against the league's leader LKKA-Atletas in Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
