Everything went according to plan in Quakenbrueck where third ranked Artland Dragons (15-5) beat 7th ranked EWE Baskets (10-9) 95-81 on Saturday. The game without a history. Artland Dragons led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by EWE Baskets' players. The best player for the winners was American guard David Holston (170-86, college: Chicago St.) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. American-Puerto Rican forward Nathan Peavy (203-85, college: Miami, OH) chipped in 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Artland Dragons' coach Stefan Koch used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian center Milan Majstorovic (207-83) produced 15 points and American power forward Adam Chubb (208-81, college: Pennsylvania, agency: Pro One Sports) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Artland Dragons have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 15-5 record having just three points less than leader Brose Baskets. EWE Baskets lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost.
