Regular Season Round 13: Oliveirense - Galitos-Tley 72-65

Another exciting game was played in Oliveira between eighth ranked Oliveirense and 4th placed Galitos-Tley where host Oliveirense (6-7) won against Galitos-Tley (8-5) 72-65. It looked good early as Galitos-Tley took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Oliveirense had a 21-13 second period charge getting the lead and Galitos-Tley was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-72. Oliveirense shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Nuno Freitas (180-81) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Swingman Renato Azevedo (186-91) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Oliveirense's coach Joao Costeira allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Jose Ferreira answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds and forward Rui Quintino (196-83) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Galitos-Tley. Four Galitos-Tley players scored in double figures. Oliveirense moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Electrico FC. Galitos-Tley at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Oliveirense will play against Maia Basket (#9) on the road in the next round. Galitos-Tley will play against Fisica (#5) in Torres Vedras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
