Very expected game when 19th ranked Usak (6-15) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Gaziantep (15-6) 75-71 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 18-9 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Gaziantep outrebounded Usak 45-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. Usak was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Serhat Ugur (192-85) scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Erden Eryuz (188-80) chipped in 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Mahir Bayrak (180-79) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds and center Engin Algin (202-75) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Gaziantep moved-up to fourth place. Usak at the other side dropped to the seventeenth position with 15 games lost. Gaziantep will face Maliye Milli (#7) in Ankara in the next round. Usak will play at home against Baskent Genclik (#14) in Ankara.
