1.Bundesliga top team - Brose Baskets (18-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Telekom Baskets (9-11) in Bamberg 97-66. The game without a history. Brose Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Telekom Baskets' 38. It was a great shooting night for Brose Baskets especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American forward Anthony Leon Tucker (198-85, college: Texas) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and international power forward Tibor Pleiss (214-89) who added 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Croatian forward Zvonko Buljan (206-87, college: TCU) responded with 14 points and Lithuanian guard Benas Veikalas (192-83, college: Metro St.) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brose Baskets have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-2 record. Telekom Baskets lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 11 games lost. Brose Baskets are looking forward to face league's second-placed ratiopharm Ulm on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Telekom Baskets will play against BBC Bayreuth (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
