Regular Season Round 22: Fraport SKY II - Langen 101-89

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (6-13) defeated 7th ranked TV 1862 Langen (10-9) in Frankfurt 101-89 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 101-89. It was a very good performance for American guard Larry Wright (187-87, college: Oakland) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 steals. Forward Fabian Franke (198-88, agency: Limelight Hoops) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Fraport Skyliners II's coach Klaus-Gunther Mewes used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Nathan Drury (188-85, college: Carroll) replied with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Marco Voeller (201-89) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for TV 1862 Langen. Five Fraport Skyliners II and four TV 1862 Langen players scored in double figures. Fraport Skyliners II maintains tenth position in Group South with 6-13 record. TV 1862 Langen at the other side keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face higher ranked Hanau (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
