There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (6-13) defeated 7th ranked TV 1862 Langen (10-9) in Frankfurt 101-89 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 101-89. It was a very good performance for American guard Larry Wright (187-87, college: Oakland) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 steals. Forward Fabian Franke (198-88, agency: Limelight Hoops) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Fraport Skyliners II's coach Klaus-Gunther Mewes used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Nathan Drury (188-85, college: Carroll) replied with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Marco Voeller (201-89) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for TV 1862 Langen.
