Very predictable result when seventh ranked Bayern Muenchen (11-9) smashed at home bottom-ranked BG Goettingen (2-18) 101-78 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Bayern Muenchen. BG Goettingen managed to win fourth quarter 28-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BG Goettingen to just 5 points in third quarter. Bayern Muenchen shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Bulgarian center Jared Homan (206-83, college: Iowa St.) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Chevon Troutman (202-81, college: Pittsburgh, agency: ACMT) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Kyle Bailey (188-82, college: Santa Clara) produced 10 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Darrell Tucker (206-80, college: USF, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) added 14 points respectively for the guests. Five Bayern Muenchen and four BG Goettingen players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bayern Muenchen moved-up to sixth place, which they share with NY Phantoms. BG Goettingen lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Bayern Muenchen will meet TBB Trier (#17) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. BG Goettingen will play against ALBA Berlin and hope to secure a win.
