Regular Season Round 22: Stahnsdorf - Bayer Giants 68-78

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Bayer Giants (8-12) beat higher ranked RSV Eintracht (11-10) in Stahnsdorf 78-68 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 10 points. RSV Eintracht was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Farid Sadek (188-83) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Till-Joscha Joenke (189-92) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Akeem Bennett (190-87, college: St.Francis, NY) replied with 15 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Keoni Watson (178-84, college: Idaho) added 14 points in the effort for RSV Eintracht. Five Bayer Giants and four RSV Eintracht players scored in double figures. Bayer Giants moved-up to tenth place in Group North. RSV Eintracht lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Bayer Giants will face higher ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#9) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
