Regular Season Round 23: TED Kolejliler - Pi Koleji 79-69

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Ankara: Optimum TED (#3) and Genc Telekom (#2). Optimum TED (17-5) won against visiting Genc Telekom (16-6) 79-69. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Optimum TED. Genc Telekom managed to win third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for center Hakan Yapar (202-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points. Guard Osman Orcun Gollu (190-77) helped adding 16 points. Optimum TED's coach Murat Ozyer used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Hazer Avci (206-87, agency: Court Side) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84, agency: TSS Management) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Optimum TED have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Genc Telekom at the other side dropped to the third position with six games lost. They share it with Gaziantep. Optimum TED are looking forward to face Gaziantep (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Genc Telekom will play against Gelisim in Izmir and is hoping to win this game.
