Regular Season Round 23: Bakken - Falcon 82-72

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Bakken as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Bakken defeated 10th ranked Falcon in Aarhus 82-72. The game was mostly controlled by Bakken. Falcon managed to win second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Falcon 51-24 including a 23-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Joshua Alexander (193-87, college: SF Austin) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 5 rebounds. The former international center Chris Christoffersen (218-79, college: Oregon) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Bakken's coach Philip Dejworek used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Julian McFarlane (184-86) answered with 25 points and Senegalese power forward Pape Ba (207-80, college: Beth.-Cookman) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Falcon. Bakken (21-1) have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Falcon stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. Falcon will play next round against strong Svendborg trying to get back on the winning streak. Bakken will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Vaerlose at home.
