Second Stage Round 4: Silute - Perlas-MRU 75-78

A very interesting game took place in Silute. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 14th ranked Silute (12-22) to twelfth ranked Perlas-MRU (16-18) 78-75 on Saturday evening. Silute was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 23-18 charge of Perlas-MRU, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by guard Gintautas Vileita (193-75, college: Monmouth) who scored that evening 20 points and 4 steals and power forward Mantas Virbalas (203-88) supported him with 9 points and 14 rebounds. Perlas-MRU's coach Mindaugas Sakalauskas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds by center Arturas Kaubrys (205-83) did not help to save the game for Silute. Guard Vitalis Pancerevas (185-87, college: Weatherford JC) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Four Silute players scored in double figures. Perlas-MRU moved-up to eleventh place in . Silute at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 22 games lost.
