The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Antakya's (7-11) road loss to seventh ranked Botas (8-9) 72-78 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Botas forced 23 Antakya turnovers. American-Armenian swingman Quianna Chaney (180-86, college: LSU) scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Monica Wright (180-88, college: Virginia, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Laura Harper (193-86, college: Maryland) with 18 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Nazli Guler (184-82, agency: 1x1 Sports) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Five Antakya players scored in double figures. Botas maintains seventh position with 8-9 record. Newly promoted Antakya keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Tarsus Bld. Botas will meet higher ranked Samsun (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
