Regular Season Round 24: Bakken - Vaerlose 93-69

Ligaen top team - Bakken (22-1) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Vaerlose (9-15) in Aarhus 93-69. The game was mostly controlled by Bakken. Vaerlose managed to win fourth quarter 21-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Vaerlose 44-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. Bakken looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Joshua Alexander (193-87, college: SF Austin) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Chris Christoffersen (218-79, college: Oregon) who added 15 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Bakken players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Christopher Sprinker (205, college: Cent.Washington) with 23 points and his fellow American import guard Reginald Delk (193-86, college: Louisville) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bakken have an impressive 18-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-1 record. Vaerlose at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Horsholm and Horsens IC. Bakken are looking forward to face Horsholm (#5) on the road in the next round. Vaerlose will play against Aabyhoj and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
