Regular Season Round 25: Selcuk Univ. - Final Genclik 104-77

TB2L top team - Selcuk Universitesi (19-5) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Final Genclik (15-9) in Konya 104-77. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 17-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 104-77. Selcuk Universitesi dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Final Genclik's 40. Selcuk Universitesi forced 19 Final Genclik turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Erdem Turetken (199-79, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Henry Antwan Dobie (183-78, college: LIU Brooklyn) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 assists for the winners. Five Selcuk Universitesi players scored in double figures. Forward Oguzhan Sungur (201-91) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Esat Sinanoglu (188-82) added 14 points and 6 assists in the effort for Final Genclik. Final Genclik's coach Ali Ozbay gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Selcuk Universitesi maintains first place with 19-5 record, which they share with Optimum TED. Final Genclik at the other side dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Selcuk Universitesi is looking forward to face Orman Genc (#19) in Ankara in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Final Genclik will play at home against Istanbul B.B. (#11) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
